Okay, ladies. What does your daily prayer life really look like? I’ve mentioned before that I’m a big fan of the Morning Offeringand never has that been more true than since the birth of littleDaniel. These days a morning offering is about all I manage besides acouple of cries toward heaven when the going gets rough. I haven’t beenmaking it to any weekday Masses and regular adoration feels like alofty goal indeed.
Mothers have to walk the fine line between setting unrealisticspiritual goals for themselves and making convenient excuses for a lackof spiritual fervor. On the one hand, we really are busy. We really aredistracted. Motherhood really is an active vocation and we should not beat ourselves up over not accomplishing great spiritual feats. But on the other hand, we should set some challenging spiritual goals for ourselves and our families. We should be careful to avoid falling into a convenient trap of spiritual laziness.
How do you find time for personal prayer in your life? Or perhaps a better question: How do you make time for personal prayer?
