Here’s how this little guy spends his time these days. He’s been sleeping late in the mornings and so by the time he gets up, Dan has already left for work. But that doesn’t stop Daniel from asking over and over again: “Wherespapa?” and “Wherepapago?”
When we tell him he’s not home, he makes his way to this window. To watch and to wait for his hero, his buddy, his papa. Besides the fact that it’s terribly cute, I like that this toddler vigil is a concrete reminder:
During these last days of Lent before the start of Holy Week, am I seeking my Father? Do I turn to Him? Do I watch for Him? Do I think of Him first thing each morning and run to Him at the end of each day? And if not, what is standing in my way?
