(And here’s a link to the butternut squash recipe I would try this year if only my family didn’t cry “SCANDAL!” at the very thought of attempting a new recipe on Thanksgiving. I am tempted by the sour cream, which in my experience makes everything it touches taste better in some mysteriously fattening way. I would use butter, though, instead of margarine. I do have some respect for Thanksgiving tradition, after all.)
