Okay, so maybe we aren’t putting quite all of our learning things away, but… Woo-Hoo! School is out! We are done. I don’t plan to dive back into major schoolwork until about mid-August when I hope to get a few weeks of routine in at the end of the summer before the baby arrives. Then I won’t have to feel bad about “relaxing” things a bit after the baby.
But for now, we are taking a summer break—and no one is loving it more than I am. Recent days have found me getting what feels like scads of work done in the morning and then checking the clock to find it’s only 9:30. 9:30! What am I going to do with all this free time?
Don’t worry. We won’t get bored. The classroom-in-progress you see here is only one of many house-in-progress projects we have going on and intend to finish before September.
And then there is always the semi-annual, dreaded-worse-than-the-plague chore of switching over the kids’ closets and dresser drawers. Between procrastination time, whining time, trying to trick someone else into doing it time, and then actually doing it time, I figure I’ve got at least a few weeks worth of work there.
