September 28th, 2011 Here’s my annual getting ready for Oktoberfest post. Even if you aren’t planning a fall party, you might enjoy treating your family to some of these seasonal recipes. Here’s what we’re making and baking these days: Pumpkin Bread Beer Rolls Pretzels Brown Sugar Cut-Outs with Royal Icing decoration Cheddar Cheese Ball Basic Pie Dough (for apple pies) Savory Beef Stew September 23rd, 2011 – 1 – Excavator Update We are having a new septic system put in this week. I am not embarrassed to admit that I am all kinds of excited about this. Yes, we are paying someone a ridiculous amount of money for the privilege of having our yard torn up and … being able to flush the toilet on a regular basis. Oh, and take showers. This is country living September 18th, 2011 I am really excited about something … My good friend Rachel and I have been working on something together … A show! A TV show! About and for Catholic women! Hosted by the two of us and one other awesome lady! To be broadcast on CatholicTV, beginning early next year! While we can’t share all the details of the show just yet, I hope that you will consider September 13th, 2011 Here is Eamon. Mr. Cool. Since he thinks it’s hilarious to change my phone’s screen saver to photos of himself every chance he gets, I figure it’s only fair to let you all in on the joke. Here’s Eamon. Mr. Cool. September 10th, 2011 Daniel turns five today. He was up at dawn this morning, suffering with the beginnings of a cold. A runny nose with a sore throat. Poor birthday boy. He woke me up to ask for a drink and some medicine, and I willed myself out of bed and down the stairs to get him what he needed.
