July 31st, 2009 You can read my latest column at Inside Catholic today: For the Love of a Balloon July 29th, 2009 Not here, anyway. Some of the kids and I are staying with my parents for a few days while Dan completes the floor refinishing project that never seems to end and man do I ever appreciate my generous parents’ hospitality and my hardworking husband who slaves away with a sander in this heat while I spend my days lounging lakeside beneath a shady tree. But today I wanted to check July 26th, 2009 My husband, he is vacuuming. Vacuuming. It’s a shop vac of course. And he’s using it in our living room which he has stripped bare of all its contents in anticipation of sanding and refinishing the floors in the next 3 days. But it’s vacuuming nonetheless. And my husband is doing it. And beggars can’t be choosers now, can we? July 24th, 2009 But it’s not pollution either. It’s a circumhorizontal arc. Cool! (Thank you, Michelle R.!) July 22nd, 2009 View from our field yesterday: (Some grump in the house called it “pollution” but I’m sticking with “rainbow.”) July 18th, 2009 All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. – Cecil Frances Alexander |
