The snow continues

We’ve barely been plowed out really, and so, though Dan made it to work and back, I was unable to leave the house today. Tonight, however, as a still heavier snow began to fall and forecasters promised up to 4 more inches, I grew desperate. While other New Englanders might be stocking up on bread and milk, my stalwart husband is on a different mission. He just shoveled his way

Lent Day 18

Fast: Stop looking for encouragement and approval. Genuinely encourage and affirm someone else instead.

Pray: Take this quote to prayer today and listen to God’s answer: “Real love is demanding. I would fail in my mission if I did not tell you so. Love demands a personal commitment to the will of God.” — John Paul II

Give: Let your child choose a huge stack of picture books (use that
