They won. It’s over. Let’s go to bed.

October 28th, 2007 This game has been a real snoozer … for some of us. Gabby zonked out ages ago and was carried to her bed with great success. Daniel has been to bed, and up again, and to bed, and up again, and back to bed. I think the screams of the fans keep waking him. Raphael fell asleep almost mid-sentence telling me that he was … not … tired. I carried October 27th, 2007 The score is 6-0. I am in charge of the Whoppers and they are almost gone. Raphael is in charge of the Sun Chipsand, believe it or not, there are still some left. Friend and reader Catherine sends along this photo-shopped chicken. I’m really liking the lace. October 27th, 2007 Of course if you have a chicken named Manuela, in honor of the great Manny Ramirez, your daughter is going to sew her a #24 team jersey to wear for Game 3 of the World Series. And of course you will bring her into the house and take pictures of her. (jersey credit: Kateri) October 26th, 2007 this is what art time produces these days. Of course we stayed up past midnight last night to watch (skipping the commercials) the Sox win again. Of course the smaller children dropped like flies and were carried to their beds during the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings. Of course we’ll stay up again on Saturday night — with pillows, posters, and snacks — to do it all again. And of October 25th, 2007 (Here’s a prayer for protection against fires) Many of us have been feeling helpless these days as we hear about evacuations and watch fires destroy homes in the San Diego area. But the fires are affecting many others in the area as well. Siobhan, a reader who lives about 20 miles from the nearest fire area, writes: Our kids have be kept inside all week (at school and at home) |
